We collect the information you provide us through our Join Team Stephanie form. That's your name, email, phone number, ward (if you share it), and how you'd like to help.
Donations
Donations are processed by ActBlue. When you donate, ActBlue shares your name, address, email, employer, occupation, and phone number (if provided) with Friends of Stephanie Mendoza so we can meet our legal reporting obligations. Illinois law requires us to report certain contributions, including the donor's name and address, to the Illinois State Board of Elections, and those reports are public. We keep contribution records as long as the law requires, even if you ask us to stop contacting you.
Text messages and calls
If you give us your phone number on our form, you agree to receive calls and text messages from the campaign about volunteer opportunities and campaign updates. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop text messages at any time, or HELP for help.
We never sell or rent your information
We will never sell or rent your information.
Service providers
We use service providers such as Google (to store sign-ups), ActBlue (to process donations), and Hostinger (to host this website).
Website statistics
Like most websites, we collect basic visitor statistics, such as IP addresses, to see which countries visitors come from and how the site is used. This information is not used to identify you.
Links to other websites
Our donation pages are run by ActBlue, and our Instagram, Facebook, and Threads links go to other platforms. Each of those sites has its own privacy policy.
